DIY: Water Bottle Labels

One of the finished bottles

So last month, I had the pleasure of participating in the wedding of a dear friend. I was the Maid of Honor and my son was the ring bearer. The duties of the Maid of Honor were so grueling, that I rewarded myself with a much needed massage and I have vowed to go into retirement. (We’ll see if that happens.)

One of my projects was to create Water Bottle Favors. I created labels for three separate events: the bachelorette party, family barbeque, and the reception.

I like the idea of water bottle favors because they are inexpensive, cute, and relatively simple to make. They are also great for birthday parties, showers, and promotional events.

I found a great template on the Ruffled Blog, and gave them a little spunk to go with each event. After creating my designs, I ordered the labels from Online Labels. I liked this site because they have labels for darn near everything. They also have downloadable templates that are very user friendly.

Tips for the perfect labels:

  • Purchase your water first. Not all water bottles are the same, so for this project size does matter. :)
  • Print your label of regular paper and wrap around your bottles prior to ordering.
  • Get the waterproof labels if you plan on placing the bottles in ice to prevent ink smearing.
  • After printing the labels, make sure they are completely dry before sticking them on the bottles
  • Take your time with taking the old labels off.
  • Take your time with putting the new labels on.

This was such a fun project. If anyone is interested in a custom design, please check out my Etsy Shop.

  1. Hello! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do
you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird
when viewing from my iphone4. I’m trying
to find a theme or plugin that might be able to fix this problem.

If you have any recommendations, please share.

    Cheers!
